The waiting room, cloth diapers, and Cooper's 4 month Stats
Cooper went to the doctor yesterday for his shots and checkup. The wait was was not too bad this time, I just picked up on some local wisdom from a couple of other moms. They each had 5 kids, but the "wisdom" was strictly based on their culture. I was not sure what to say when they told me that if I had a girl next to be ready to get her hair done every week. And how expensive that gets. I bet that is very true, but we probably won't be dealing with that, unless we adopt a little girl. Their little girls were cute, they both had nice name brand furry boots, I would have liked some for myself, but for a 2 and 4 year old, I am sure this is the only season they will get the chance to wear them, that's unfortunate! Well, I did come away with good thoughts about having a boy and how easy they are to take care of, and how they don't back talk or want expensive clothes and how there is only room in the house for one woman! Strangely my family only had one man, he was surrounded by girls and we were all just fine. I took the "wisdom" from these ladies as a grain of salt.
After the fun times in the waiting room, I went back to the patients rooms and got Cooper all undressed and really surprised the nurse with his cloth diapers. She was like, wow, those are not your normal cloth diaper. I was excited to show her and the doctor how they work and how well they keep in leaks and how good they are for baby's skin. I was kind of sad though, that this was the first of this kind of cloth diaper these ladies had seen. I was really hoping for our environment that they would have seen quite a few in this practice. Here is my plug for cloth diapering: "Over the course of 8,000 diaper changes, your baby will generate 3,000 fewer pounds of landfill waste. If CD were used by an additional 1 % of parents, the reduction in waste would be as if 14,200 households completely stopped producing garbage for one year"
Anyway, back to the checkup. Cooper is at a very healthy 16.5 lbs. and 25 inches. The 75% for weight and 50% for height. I am proud of my little man, I don't think I ever hit 50% for anything to do with size. Maybe this little guy will out grow me before middle school! That's ok, I think it will be neat to have a tall boy to reach up and hug one day!

It was nice of Ben to bend down so his head wouldn't hang off the top of the photo. Here is our little family, minus a few kitties.
Henry and Mille were playing with the nativity, they thought it was only appropriate that the wiseman get to hold Jesus.
Now Mary gets her turn.
The kids did a crafty project. Well, me and my sister did a crafty project, the kids picked the buttons and stuffed their bears. Cooper and Keane were already asleep, but their bears made an appearance.
One of my youngest nieces, she is so fun.
I can't believe my oldest nephew is going to be 10 this year! He got roller blades for Christmas from Nani and Papa.
Super Cooper was tired after all the fun times.

Cooper is so sweet in the mornings, he giggles and loves to play. Here he was playing with Ben on the floor.

Some of our favorite shots of Cooper sleeping peacefully. A lot of times I wonder what he is dreaming about. He smiles in his sleep often and just this morning he laughed in his sleep, I bet he has happy dreams!
Merry Thanksmas!
Thanksgiving was fun for our big family, we got together at Mom and Dad's house and celebrated both Thanksgiving and Christmas together. We had a great time with all the kids and Cooper got to meet all his cousins including Keane, born just a week before Cooper.
I can finally reach my feet!
These pictures are so fun to take. It is neat to watch our little guy find his feet and be so happy about reaching them. He really loves wearing fuzzy socks too!
